چکیده
The purpose of this work is twofold: (a) To present the theoretical formulation a 3D acoustic propagation model based on Boundary Element Method (BEM), which uses half-space Green function in place more conventional free-space and (b) to show numerical implementation aimed explore simple idealized cases --controlled by few parameters--, provides necessary tests for accuracy performance model. Green's function, has been used previously scattering diffraction, adds terms usual expressions integral operators without altering their continuity properties. Verifications against Pekeris waveguide suggest that allows an adequately prediction field. Likewise, explorations relation mesh size description water-sediment interface allow us conclude TL with acceptable can be obtained use bounded around desired evaluation region.

Acoustic Analysis of an Exhaust MANIFOLD by INDIRECT Boundary Element Method
The present work is aimed at the development of a numerical procedure, based on the usage of the Boundary Element Method (BEM) as implemented in the software LMS Virtual.Lab, for the vibro-acoustics analysis of an exhaust manifold. The manifold vibrations are induced by two different ways: engine vibrations (transmitted to the manifold surfaces) and turbulences generated by the air flow in the ...
متن کاملAn Oil Fate Model for Shallow-Waters
We introduce a model for the dynamics of oil in suspension, appropriate for shallow waters, including the nearshore environment. This model is capable of oil mass conservation and does so by evolving the oil on the sea surface as well as the oil in the subsurface. The shallower portion of the continental shelf poses compounding unique modeling challenges. Many of these relate to the complex nat...
